Title:OSR Public Ghost Hunt

Description:

Friday, March 24th the Ohio State Reformatory offers Ghost Hunts®;  serious yet informal attempts to document paranormal activity at the castle-like, former prison. Ghost Hunts provide an unusual, first-hand experience to search other realms. Ghost Hunts at OSR are the first of their kind in the United States.

Public Hunt admission is $70* per person and includes access to the building from 7:00 pm until 1:00 am and a late dinner of pizza and soda.  Complimentary water, soda, coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the evening.

  • Gates open 6 pm
  • Check in at the Gift Shop between 6 pm - 7 pm
  • Guided tour of facility 7 pm - 8 pm 
  • Independent investigating 8 pm - 3 am
  • Must be 18 and over to participate

*The building contains hazards including, but not limited to steep steps, uneven surfaces, and lead-based paint.  It is not recommended for pregnant women. Sleeping during a hunt is prohibited. All participants will be required to sign in at check in and present a valid photo ID.

*Any changes to participant registration can be made at the registration table on the day of the hunt. Replacement participants must be at least 18 years of age and provide a photo ID.

*Please note, there are no physical tickets for ghost events. An email confirmation is sent automatically to the person who registered. All registered participants will check in with a photo ID.

Introducing a new “Pop-Up Exhibition” of Painting & Mixed Media by Mansfield artist, Ruthie Akuchie.

The collection showcases 29 portraits of inspirational Black Female Leaders created throughout Black  History Month.

Ruthie is currently teaching portrait painting at the Mansfield Art Center, and will continue this spring with an intermediate   portrait painting and mixed media course. This collection will be displayed on the first floor through April 16th.

The 2017 Annual Regional High School Exhibition showcases the honest & unfiltered talent of the young aspiring artists from our region’s area High Schools.

This community centered exhibition provides a valuable incentive for the students by encouraging an appreciation for the arts and offers a stepping stone by showcasing their abilities.

The First Floor Gallery features an inspiring and unique collection of artwork created by the region’s educators.

The People’s Choice Award

-    Visit The Art Center & Vote at a Kiosk or DL the Mansfield Art Center app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
-    DL our app to your mobile device first, and then visit the exhibition. You can view the artwork through the app; however, voting will not unlock until you bring your device with you to see the exhibition in person.
-    You will have 5 votes to cast on 5 different pieces of art, 6 if you take the survey.
-    You have until midnight on April 16 to cast all of your votes.
