Title:	Nature Encounters

Location:	Ohio Bird Sanctuary
Description:	Each Saturday the Ohio Bird Sanctuary offers free "Nature Encounters". Come enjoy a short presentation by one of the volunteers or staff starring one of the resident birds that have come to the sanctuary and could not be released back into the wild after rehabilitation. You will learn about the species, what they eat, how they hunt, how they live, and their typical activities in the wild. The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a 501(3) non-profit organization which is dedicated to the rehabilitation of Ohio's native birds of prey and songbirds, with an emphasis on educating the community about conservation of our natural resources. The Bird Sanctuary is open to the public and encompasses over 90 acres including; hiking trails, live bird of prey displays, and a walk-through songbird aviary. Visitors can purchase a small cup of meal worms in the Visitor Center and hand feed the aviary residents. Visitor Center, Displays and Trail Open Hours Monday - Visitor Center, Displays and Trails closed Tuesday through Saturday - 10:00am to 4:00pm Sunday - Noon to 4:00pm DAILY ADMISSION IS FREE: DONATIONS WELCOMED! Description:	Parkrun organizes free, timed 5k runs every week in over 900 locations around the world. Same time, same place and at no cost. Ever. Free one-time registration gives you a unique bar code which is used to track participation and your run times. Parkrun is open to all - young, old, runners, walkers, joggers. Mansfield, Ohio, Parkruns are a free, non-competitive 5K every Saturday (starting Jan. 21) from North Lake Park at 9 am. All ages and abilities welcome. We invite you to join us January 21 at any participation level that is comfortable for you. Meet new friends or dedicate that time to be active on your own. Run, walk or jog there is no requirement! What is Mansfield OH parkrun? It is a 5km run - it's you against the clock. When is it? Every Saturday at 9:00am (October through April) 8:00am (May through September). Where is it? The event takes place at North Lake Park, 270 Rae Ave, Mansfield, OH 44903. .See Course page for more details What does it cost to join in? Nothing - it's free! but please register before your first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder). Description:	History's trend has been to bust out of jail, but this spring the Building Industry Association of North Central Ohio challenges you to try something new . . . Make your getaway to the Historic Ohio State Reformatory for the 2017 NCO Home and Garden Show. Who can resist a visit to a famous prison where movies such as Shaw Shank Redemption, Tango & Cash, and Air Force One were filmed. Self guided and guided tours of the prison will be available in conjunction with the North Central Ohio Home and Garden Show while the show is open. There will be a great array of vendors at this year's show and we hope that there will be something there for everyone. In addition to displaying in the historical prison halls, there will be a huge heated tent for outdoor equipment and landscaping. Each year is becoming larger and it is a great way to help the local businesses. Along with helping the Reformatory and collecting food for local charities. Each adult through the gate will be charged $2.00 or 2 canned goods, the canned goods will be donated to local charities and food pantries. Children 7 and under and parking will be free. The Reformatory is Handicap Accessible so all are welcome to come out. There will be food available for purchase outside of the tent. Call today with questions!
