The Safe Summer Fridays community block parties are safe, fun, non-violent events for the community and the whole family.

These events will give families something to do and to look forward to doing something fun and wholesome on a Friday summer night.

These parties are also an effort to bridge the perceived gap between our local law enforcement and the community in which they serve.

We also want to showcase the community’s youth (age 25 and under) in whatever talents they have.

Lastly, these block parties will promote UNITY among all facets of the community. Regardless of what side of town you live on, what your socioeconomic status is, how old you are, if you’re an elected official or fast food worker, WE ALL LIVE-IN MANSFIELD/ RICHLAND COUNTY TOGETHER!

-Nyte Flyte Entertainment (Jeff Angelini) has agreed to DJ all of the block parties!

In addition to the Live DJ, there will be free food, community games, activities and giveaways, community speakers and community talent showcases.

Friday, July 14th at Johns Park
Friday, July 21st at John Todd Park
Friday, August 11th at North Lake Park

All block parties are from 6:00pm-8:30pm

Free summer park concert featuring the best in local professional musicians. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy an evening of music. There is close access to the performance site, clean well maintained restrooms, and lots of free parking. Bring your own refreshments or take advantage of on site dining at select locations.
