Parkrun organizes free, timed 5k runs every week in over 900 locations around the world. Same time, same place and at no cost. Ever. Free one-time registration gives you a unique bar code which is used to track participation and your run times. Parkrun is open to all - young, old, runners, walkers, joggers.

Mansfield, Ohio, Parkruns are a free, non-competitive 5K every Saturday (starting Jan. 21) from North Lake Park at 9 am. All ages and abilities welcome.

We invite you to join us January 21 at any participation level that is comfortable for you. Meet new friends or dedicate that time to be active on your own. Run, walk or jog there is no requirement!

What does it cost to join in?

Nothing - it's free! but please register before your first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won't get a time.

How fast do I have to be?

We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!

Greater Mohican Audubon Bird Walks are free and open to the public and all birders are welcome.

Walks occur the 4th Saturday of the month, from 9-11 a.m.

Saturday, April 22nd the Ohio State Reformatory offers Ghost Hunts®;  serious yet informal attempts to document paranormal activity at the castle-like, former prison. Ghost Hunts provide an unusual, first-hand experience to search other realms. Ghost Hunts at OSR are the first of their kind in the United States.

Public Hunt admission is $70* per person and includes access to the building from 7:00 pm until 1:00 am and a late dinner of pizza and soda.  Complimentary water, soda, coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the evening.

• Gates open 6 pm
• Check in at the Gift Shop between 6 pm - 7 pm
• Guided tour of facility 7 pm - 8 pm 
• Independent investigating 8 pm - 3 am
• Must be 18 and over to participate

*The building contains hazards including, but not limited to steep steps, uneven surfaces, and lead-based paint.  It is not recommended for pregnant women. Sleeping during a hunt is prohibited. All participants will be required to sign in at check in and present a valid photo ID.

*Any changes to participant registration can be made at the registration table on the day of the hunt. Replacement participants must be at least 18 years of age and provide a photo ID.

*Please note, there are no physical tickets for ghost events. An email confirmation is sent automatically to the person who registered. All registered participants will check in with a photo ID.

Hosted by the Heritage Arms, LLC Gun Shows, come to the Richland County Fairgrounds for the Mansfield Gun Show. 180 tables of hunting, shooting and military equipment! Buy, sell, trade, or bring your gun for an appraisal.

Heritage Gun Shows currently promotes gun shows in Cambridge, Mansfield, North Canton, and East Canton Ohio. You won't see much that's not related to the hunting and shooting sports. Most of our shows will have some military surplus and similar merchandise, because so much of this type of gear is useful in the field.

Admission is $5. In keeping with our view that the shooting sports are great family pastimes, children 12 and under get in free.
