MANSFIELD, OH: Come to the Gorman Nature Center July 7th and learn some things about the moon and stars, explore the constellations and planets, and take home a free star chart while having all of your astronomical questions answered.

Participants should be able to see some really awesome constellations, gaze some planets, (like Jupiter, Saturn and Venus) and maybe even a few galaxies!  Telescopes and binoculars will be available for use, but please feel free to bring your own.

MANSFIELD, OH:  Las Vegas Spectacular will be held at Charles Mill Lake Park on July 8th at 7PM with a Vegas style geocache scavenger hunt to begin at 3:30.

Come try your luck on the Charles Mill Strip!  Games like Hi-Lo, Bingo, Blackjack, Pick the Peg, Pick a number, and more will be available! 

The Mansfield Reformatory Preservation Society is offering Ghost Hunts®!  They are serious, yet informal attempts to document paranormal activity at the castle-like, former prison. Ghost Hunts provide an unusual, first-hand experience to search other realms. Ghost Hunts at OSR are the first of their kind in the United States.

Admission is $70* per person and includes access to the building from 8:00 pm until 5:00 am and a late dinner of pizza and soda.  Complimentary water, soda, coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the evening.

Explorers of nature Series at Pleasant Hill Lake Park offers kids, ages 4-16, to discover the nature around us!

Visitors will meet at the welcome Center.  Cost is $5 per person or $30 for all eight sessions through August 6. Registration is required. 

Getting your children into the habit of writing now can save them much of stress later down the road. If you get them to love writing now, or just to tolerate it, then high school or college essays will not be another headache to them.

 

There are some simple ways and activities that will slowly build your child into a good writer. You never know, you may discover your child is an everyday Poe or Austen.
